100 New Jayne Trivia
It is time for me to write a new 100 things about me post. My first 100 things is here.
As strange as it is, I believe I have changed somewhat in the past six months from blogging. My friend Tree theorized that: "the Internet, computer keyboards and Blackberries may be re-aligning our brains. Unlike a pen or pencil or a remote control a keyboard uses both hands. Both hands. This means both sides of the brain are engaged. This potentially means more integration of the brain, more neuro-pathways into more of the brain. This could well save the planet (if all of the computers and waste and by-products of computer technology don't get to it/us first) by having less fixed mechanistic thinking predominate in our power structures. This integration may even change what we feel/intuit as power, powerful."
Yet another friend I'm trying to bully into starting a blog. She has a fascinating, nimble mind.
Anyway, here goes, some might be the same (such as # 1)

- ESPECIALLY in this country, because we consume so many resources

- If you're into categorizing people, I'm Aries, born in the year of the Rooster, um, INFJ (Introverted. Intuitive, Feeling, Judging if you are into Meyers-Briggs), younger child of an older brother, late Mature soul if you're into reincarnation . . .
- Sometimes I believe in reincarnation, sometimes I think we all die and turn to dust. I'm fine with not knowing. I'm a lazy Taoist, I suppose.
- Crap, I went back to the religion, sorry
- I love irreverent, dark humor
- I spend too much time in my head

Hmm... I'm an INFJ too... I learned quite a bit about you that I didn't know... It's been almost 2 years since I did the "100 things about me", I'd be willing to bet there's a lot that has changed about me, too...

Spooky... I always did a whole new 100 Things list today. And then I didn't.
Nothing on the list surprised me except that you sometimes think it's possible that maybe we just turn to dust. I didn't expect you to say that. Unexpected! Oooo. I am thinking if that's true, that our dust should at least be flavored according to our personality. I think you would be Tang. Sharp, refreshing, sunny, quenchingly good for you, and popular with astronauts.
I esp. like #39, and wish there were classes for this in high school. Or forced ones with marriage licenses. :)

Please don't tell me that you meant that you are not proud of being ambitious? We need more ambitious women that actually like kicking ass and taking names. I think that many women are this kind of women but sadly they are not proud of it for whatever reason.
Come on Jayne, join me at what I have termed the "Ambitious-Prideful Woman" clique! My membership is still relatively new though..... ;)

Hi Jayne! Are you sure you want to say that you "get off" on writing about yourself? Would that be auto(biographical)-eroticism?

Oh, girl. must write you a separate email on your 100. really. and woot! you nailed it on what I call TRIBE. I call it those who walk in two (or more) worlds. And have you read Jane Lindskold's book: "Child of a Rainless Year"? The title alone sets shivery ripples going up my arms. The entire book is about liminal reality(ies). It's hard to classify, but Borges would recognize it as would Ursula K. LeGuin. But it is set in the present day and...elsewhen. And have you seen the blog "Making Light"? It is written by the incredibly brilliant (I mean fucking genius level) woman who edited Jane's book, and her husband as well. You can get lost in the comments alone. She has to have the most intellectually omnivorous and lightning fast minds ever in her readership. you'd fit right in. mwah.

Ooh! 99 was me, wasn't it!?

We're learning about wine too. I liked your list, it almost seemed like a poem.

Most things you write sound like a poem.
I almost regret reading this, for I was hoping to learn at least 98 of these items on Saturday...
BUT, somehow, I suspect there are 100 more fascinating tidbits to unearth about Jayne, and I can't wait to start digging!
See you soon.

Amethyst: Yes, I'd love to read your new 100!
Shephard: Tang? You crack me up. Add some vodka and I'm sold.
SBW: Well, I was writing that I'm not proud of being vain, needing recognition and being ambitious. I could stand a little humility on occasion.
Larry: I'm ignoring you.
Caroline: The book and blog sound fascinating! But what, no link? Gonna make me work for it? I can't wait for your e-mail. : )
Pops: You just skipped to the end again, didn't you?
Todd: Ooh, maybe I'll put up a geeky wine post one of these days, why 2002 Napa cabs were the best, my favorite cheap pinots, etc.
Hill: You are too funny. You will learn more about me than you can ever hope to repress later. I just hope we're not too jet lagged so we can be decent company! See you Saturday!!!

Well I just read your 100 things, wow I think I'm in love, possible with myself though, as reading your 100 was like looking in the mirror. It's nice to know I'm not the only lazy Taoist out there.

Stephen: A fellow lazy Taoist?? I hope you come back again soon, when you feel like it : )
